Worship
Sunday Worship Gatherings are a time when the entire community of Christ the King gathers together to worship through song, hear God's Word preached and celebrate the Lord's Supper together. Here’s what you can expect:
Preaching - CTK believes the best kind of preaching is expository, meaning we will preach through an entire book of the Bible verse by verse.
A Modern Liturgy - Liturgy means “the work of the people” and we incorporate classic expressions of worship in modern context that help every person play a part in the service. All church services have liturgy, whether they call it that or not, our goal is to incorporate elements to speak to a diverse church because first, we see examples of how to worship in Scripture and we want to worship in a way that reflects how the church has encountered God for thousands of years. Second, and most importantly, the liturgy helps walk us through the beautiful story of the gospel of Jesus. The songs and readings, the prayers and participation, are arranged in a way so that we rehearse the good news of God’s grace to us. CTK Kids - We see children as an important part of the life of a local church. Since Jesus models this for us we want to show them value as people created in God's image by allowing them to participate with their parents in our worship gatherings. While we will offer a nursery for young children (birth-Kindergarten) we believe that it is important for families to worship together and see it as a vital part of the discipleship process of our children (Psalm 78:5-8; Ephesians 6:1-4; 2 Timothy 3:14-15).
Our order of service on Sundays follows an ancient pattern as old as the Bible itself:
God Calls Us…On Sundays we go from being the church scattered to the church gathered. God our Creator and Redeemer always initiates worship, calling us into the presence of the Holy. We respond with joyous praise and celebration.
God Cleanses Us…In the light of God’s love we are made painfully aware of our brokenness and deep need for healing. We confess our brokenness and need for healing and grace and hear words of assurance that the Gospel is first and foremost for sinners.
God Consecrates Us…We learn what it means to follow God in the way of Jesus through reflecting on God’s story told in the Bible. It’s through Scripture that God’s Spirit consecrates us, forming and reforming us for the adventure of living in God’s Kingdom.
God Communes with Us…Worship climaxes with the ancient Christian practice of communion, or the Eucharist, where we are united to Christ and one another through sharing a common loaf and a common cup.
God Commissions Us…We are sent into the world to love and bless it and to make Jesus known, inviting others to follow Him.
Our liturgy is a central part of our spiritual journey. This journey is about continually reorienting our lives, together and individually, around God’s call on our lives to be His representatives in the places we live, work and play. We do this based on and through the hope that comes from Jesus Christ, empowered by His life giving Spirit.

As always we still welcome children into the worship service with their parents and family.

FAQs
What will I do when I arrive? When you arrive at the school you will park in the front or side parking lot. Come in through the side doors and be greeted by someone at the church! As you walk in, you will grab a worship guide and a welcome card from the table.
During the first few minutes… We will stand as our Pastor reads our call to worship. Following this, he will pray and then we will pray The Lord's Prayer as a congregation. After prayer, we will worship the Lord in song. *All of this is on your worship guide, so don't worry about keeping up!
What should I wear? Wear what you feel comfortable in! You will see people in everything from jeans and t-shirts to slacks and dress shirts.
